New Teacher Account Setup at Khan Academy
- Open www.khanacademy.org/signup .
- Click “I’m a teacher”.
- Check the agreement box and then you can choose two of the options. I prefer the second one, using your email and new password for Khan Academy.
- When you see “Welcome to Khan Academy for teachers!”, input your Name and DOB for KA. Then click “Enter Khan Academy for Teachers”.
- If you see a pop-up message for confirmation, please enter your password again and “Log in”.
- There you are! https://www.khanacademy.org/teacher/dashboard Before creating a class, please read the information: Getting to know Khan Academy, Using assignments and reports on Khan Academy, Supporting student progress with Khan Academy, Next steps, etc.
- And in your email inbox, you will receive an email from Khan Academy to finish signing up. You press that button.
Creating a Class
- https://www.khanacademy.org/teacher/dashboard Click “Create a class” button. Then you input your class name. e.g., “Khan Academy 5th Grade Math”. Click “Next”.
- Then you choose the class you planed to create, here I choose “5th Grade”. Click “Next”.
- To add students, you can use one of the three options. If your students have email accounts, you can use the first two options and if you have younger students, you may use the last one by creating accounts for them. So that they can sign in with the accounts you’ve just created.
